Fashion has been embedded in Volkl Tennis’ DNA from the very first swing of one of our racquets. Only recently however did we launch the highly anticipated clothing lines, and the very first official women’s apparel collection under the Volkl brand. Both the men’s and women’s collections were unveiled at this year’s US Open, with Volkl player Hunter Reese earning his status as the first man to ever don this year's attire.
Keeping things elegant and simple was the creative inspiration behind the men’s and women’s 2022 clothing lines. Many of the durable tops and bottoms for women have navy and white-based prints and hints of green, with solid prints in white and navy for the racerback tanks, square neck tanks and pocketed leggings (any tennis player can attest to the convenience of having a pant pocket, especially on service games). As for the women’s line, the rollout of the ‘US Open’, ‘Final Serve’ and ‘Solids’ collections was a team effort with the well-known activewear company called ‘Wear it to Heart.’ The men’s athletic wear shows off similar colors to the women’s line, but weaves in a bit of blue which makes all of the clothing unique and emphasizes the ‘Game Checks’ collection (which includes crews, polos and shorts). There’s also an homage to the past in the ‘Mixed Nets,’ ‘Mixed Doubles’ and ‘Ace Bars’ collections, throwing it back to the ‘80s fashion that dominated the game in vintage form.
Since the US Open, Volkl VIPs have been wearing the clothing lines and they have been flying off the shelves with the general public via key accounts including Tennis Professionals’ shops located in Westchester, New York and NYC Racquet Sports in Manhattan. They fit comfortably, and will make you stand out from the rest of your tennis-playing friends whether you’re playing indoors, outdoors or on any surface this coming fall!
