'I AM TENNIS' campaign launches, highlighting Völkl Tennis’ innovative engineering

Völkl Tennis recently launched the video series called “I AM TENNIS" dedicated to you, otherwise known as the Volkl “player.” We’re releasing a subcategory of the series each week, starting with “I AM POWER" being featured on Volkltennis.com which highlights Völkl Tennis’ innovative engineering and design.  In addition, I had the pleasure of being on the team during the AYS Marketing x Volkl shoot, which took place at the Cary Leeds Center for Learning in the Bronx right before this year’s US Open.
The many faces of Völkl Tennis's campaign included singer/songwriter/brand ambassador Leon Robinson, VIPs Christian Coleman, Marina Oetiker and Richard Henry, junior player Yosef Nisimi (who won two back-to-back tournaments right after the shoot, which he attributes to his success on-court), and myself (as you’ll see later on in the campaign, I am fierce)! Cliff Berman, Völkl Tennis Territory Manager, plus the AYS Marketing folks (who spearhead Taste of Tennis in DC, NYC and elsewhere) were in attendance throughout the shoot, ensuring that all of the talent and behind-the-scenes tasks went swimmingly on the blistering hot summer day.
As for the face of “I AM POWER" Marina typically teaches at her own academy called “Downtown Tennis NYC,” V Cell-2 racquet in-hand with her hundreds of NYC-based students.  During the video shoot, she tested out the V-Cell 10 300g which gave her extra pop on her serves in particular and resulted in one ace after another against most players. Marina embodies what it means to be powerful; after being in the top of her age bracket at home, she wound up earning her bachelor’s degree from Binghamton University as a teenager which inevitably takes extreme power of the mind, body and soul to proudly complete in such a short period of time. This isn’t Marina’s first rodeo as a model for a brand, as she’s also modeled for Fila among other tennis brands in the past; Richard Henry is no stranger to fashion, as his Vibe Tennis line just had a pop-up opening at Neiman Marcus in Westchester; Christian Coleman doubles as a fashion photographer; Leon is a movie star who’s in a Hallmark movie about Christmas plus was in ‘Cool Runnings’; and I believe it was Yosef’s first venture into being the subject of a film as well as mine!
Stay tuned as the series keeps unfolding in the coming weeks! And remember, that we are greater than the sum of its parts as “I AM TENNIS" would not be what it is without “I AM POWER" and others. Go team Völkl Tennis!
